HANAMATSURI means “Flower Festival” to celebrate Sakyamuni Buddha’s birthday 2500 years ago. Dress code is informal, comfortable, and as preferred by the individual.
Service starts at 10 AM followed by a luncheon and short entertainment program by Sangha members.
Please join us for a day of silent self-reflection in the sanctuary of the Sal Lake Buddhist Temple. Here, we can contemplate on the true nature of our human self, our relationships with others, and finding Refuge, Meaning and Purpose in an often confusing, disturbing, and chaotic world.
Pre-registration by March 16 requested on our website www.slbuddhist.org, or in the lobby between 8:30-9:00a.m. $50 pp(includes worksheets, refreshments and lunch) by check cash or credit card or PayPal from the website. To register on-line click HERE.
The retreat will be conducted by our ministers and meditation teachers: Revs. Jerry and Carmela Hirano; David Black, Jorgen Olsen and Dot Richeda.
